Let’s get to meet you. Tell us about yourself and your background

I’m Ogunbore Daniel, I’m a super talented Afrobeats artist known as MASTERMIND (The musical relic) from Lagos state, Bariga to be precise.

What inspired you into Music? How has the journey been so far?

My inspiration all started from my childhood, I grew up in a family where music is everything and been played every day you have no choice but to listen and growing up i would listen to different genres of music from various artists like the likes of the legendary Fela Anikulapo Kuti, King Wasiu Ayinde Marshall, Bob Marley, Steve Wonder etc. then I realized I actually do enjoy music a lot but I didn’t think of becoming an artist back then not until i met Tony Tetuila whose house is behind my house at that time and I will always see all sort popular artists come to Tony Tetuila house like the likes of 2face, black face etc then I had my first encounter with music where I featured in a viral video for Tony Tetuila that was where I got my first wake up call to my hidden talent and an eye opener to an artist lifestyle which I fell in love with immediately, from that day I knew I don’t just enjoy music I was born to do music and my love for music that I had from listening to music at home grew bigger and stronger, then I began to realize I’m in a community (bariga) that has been producing big artists in the music industry and that alone gave me more courage to start my journey as an artist.

Can you tell us about the hurdles you faced in the beginning, how were you able to overcome them and how has it shaped your career path

I have always believed my only obstacle to making my music was just money not until I attended a music camp where I got enlighten about other obstacles in making your music public and gets to the market. My overall experience so far have shaped my career path

What would you aspire to achieve at the apex of your career as a musician

I want to be known and remember just like my past icons like Michael Jackson, Fela Anikulapo Kuti etc

Nigeria is blessed with a lot of talented artist and producers with international recognitions, what kind of role do you think they should play in mentoring up and coming artist and growing the industry

Who are the artist local and international that influenced your style of music? If you could do a performance with someone, who would it be?

Wizkid, burna boy, runtown,

Asides Music, do you have other interest in the value chain of entertainment that you might want to explore in future

Yea I want to be a record label owner myself

What should your fans, Nigerians and the rest of the world expect from you in the nearest future?

My fans should expect nothing but fire jams and vibes that touch every aspect of feelings they go through at any point in time

Can you share your highest and lowest career experience so far?

My highest career experience so far was my first record deal offer and my lowest was where I was turned down at a show to freestyle
