Let’s get to meet you. Tell us about yourself and your background
My names are: OLUWASEGUN ALAKA popularly known as SHEGZY KIZ, am a Nigerian Born artist living in Lagos all my Life, but am from OYO state.
What inspired you into Music? How has the journey been so far?
My biggest inspiration are my Family and Brothers from my childhood, because my brothers do listen to HIPHOP music right from when I was a kid so I never knew how a traditional songs sounds like because am use to listen to HIPHOP songs..
Can you tell us about the hurdles you faced in the beginning, how were you able to overcome them and how has it shaped your career path.
My challenges in the entertainment game so far have been discouraging but i never give up I keep pushing hard believing that am going to be well known all over the world one day..
What would you aspire to achieve at the apex of your career as a musician?
As for my achievements so far in the industry will be in the likes of meeting different people in the clubs and having some more connections to people that matter in our society today
Who are the artist local and international that influenced your style of music? If you could do a performance with someone, who would it be?
I would list the likes of 2pac, Brandy, Joe , and many more old school artists they are my biggest inspiration in Music today…
I will like to work with the likes of top artist in Nigeria as well
Asides Music, do you have other interest in the value chain of entertainment that you might want to explore in future.
Aside from music i plan in building investment like clubs & Hotels…
What should your fans, Nigerians and the rest of the world expect from you in the nearest future?
My fans should expect something great from me soon and i won’t let them down anytime they listen to the sound of SHEGZY KIZ
